Hi to all small block fans. The paxton option was among the rarest of all in 1967.It was cheaper to buy a G.T.500 and very few people understood the real benefits of a blower.Dave Matthews has a post on the saac forum site as Bob has already mentioned, and as you all may know, the option was still available into the 1968 year. What we should ask is are there any original 67 owners that bought the paxton option?I would also think that as fast as they were producing the 67 cars, sending them out with the parts in the trunk makes very good sense. It may have been faster and cheaper for the selling dealer to install the blower. As we have seen/heard/read Shelby American did not give anything away, and they were much more concerned with the race cars--street stuff was secondary.:)

So far, to the best of my knowledge, there are no documented 1968 factory paxton cars. { . . . with the exception of a couple of engineering cars that had superchargers not released to the public }.

Hi again ! Just a quick note on 68 paxtons.During the 1988 convention we met a long time/possibly original owner couple with a paxton equipped G.T. 350.Their car is often shown in Cal. and she was telling us that the blower was Shelby's idea.He thought it was the best way to sell her one of his cars. She was wise and has enjoyed it ever since!! Maybe Vinny could tell us if # 1947 was factory equipment or not.To date this is the only one I can remember seeing on a 68. Maybe some one here knows them ??:)

I'm with Pete, no documented 68 paxton 350s yet. I hear a lot of claims but everytime you ask for docs none appear.

    Hey guys,

Been meaning to reply to this thread for a while. I dont know about actual documentation for a specific car having a paxton in 68, however, i do know that they were either planing to offer, or were offering them either on the cars of maybe simply as a post sale add on. I know because i bought the original blue print a while back.....of the paxton for 68.

    Hope this helps.
    Vern
