I believe the floor contour is different between a fastback and convertible. The convertible is contoured to make up for some of the structural loss as the top is removed from the unibody.

There is a different one for vert because of the floor. Its mostly the right side panel.

The seat risers are different in a convertible and a fastback, so yes there is a difference. There is also a difference between a 4spd and an Automatic console. The hole is bigger on the auto trans consoles. There are also two different colors...saddle and black. So that makes about six different consoles.

Could an auto trans console be used on a 4-speed car, or would there be gaps, spaces, issues, etc?
    Thanks

You can use a 4spd in an automatic console, but it will look funny. The hole for the auto shift lever is much bigger than the 4spd hole
