68 Wheel Covers

    were they only for Shelbys .? I have seen what looked to be the same, on G.M.car [ advertisments ] & some 67-8 4 door thunderbirds . The mag in this months Hemmings from B.J. - chevy with said covers .---S.

    I've heard they wer used on some GM products but I'm not sure. On the Fords they were used on full size LTD, Galaxie with a different center emblem. Don't think T Bird used the 68 stlye.

    I think the GM hubs are different. They look close, but I never compared them side by side.

    They do look similar but the major difference was they were for a 14" steel wheel. Seen them on late 60's Chevelles and the first year for that car to have a factory 15" wheel was 1971. Even the potent 1970-454 LS6 Super Sport had 14" wheels.
