Can someone please tell me how the "racetrack" goes on the grille, does the welded seam go on top or bottom?
    Thanks

There should be pins on the back and little metal rectangles slip over them. You might be able to use speed nuts. I put the joint on the bottom.

FYI the original race track trim had square shaped studs or pins and the repros are round shaped pins . The fasteners are round flat push on fasteners that have the red metal dye on them. AMK sells them. Bob

I have the original racetrack(square pins), the retainers that came off are rectangular. I also have a set of AMK round retainers.
    Which should I use?

Plus, are there any fasteners for the (6) or so threaded studs on the molding where it goes across the top of the grille?
Mine didn't have any, and none came with the AMK kits, but looks like maybe there should be something.

    Thanks, Mike

On my survivors, they have square studs and square retainers. The look very similar to an auveco retainer that is out there but the ends look a little different. They appear to be phosphate.
