Can anybody tell where I could buy a spring & the shims to rebuild a 69
    Shifter?
    Thanks JW

We have several 69 4 speed cores, for anyone who can rebuild the units. I
    have been
building the 65-68 for over 10 years. There has been poor interest in
    purchasing the
    correct 69 Shifters.

I suspect with the increase in "Eleanor" cars, more cores will be available,
    as the
typical buyers want the Hurst brand.

Weld your stock shifter handle to a Hurst Competition Plus and it'll shift better that it did new and look original. Why do you think Ford only used that design one year before converting to Hurst?
