Hello taken apart the rear end from my 66 GT350. What markings should be on the rear axle. Also still looking for one original rear brake drum. Thanks Bruce

Hi bruce...in trying to work on our rear end right now..we have come across a few people who have some brake drums...I am assuming date code will not matter right? Can you post some pics of your drum or send them to me at barelafamilia@comcast.net

would love to talk off line with you on your progress and where ours is at..is your car a hertz?

    Jimmy

    Hello
I just call Marti and they do repro axle tags. $35. However I have to provide all the info. I know the ratio is 3.50 open and the build is mid Feb 66. Can anyone help me with the rest of the tag. Thanks Bruce

    Bruce,

The tag info you need should be quite similar to my original except for the ratio (mine is 3.89), something like this.....

    DSO C6ZX-B (Top line)
    3.50 6BD 925 (Bottom line)

6BD is the date code on mine, car has a San Jose late March scheduled build date. I think 925 is a plant code. This is for a 4-speed car.

    Dave
