I bought an 07 Shelby GT this past June with 9,000 miles on it from a Ford dealer. We knew about the stripes and the hood scoop issue before I took delivery on the car. Stipes and scoop have the usual issues. The dealer was supposed to get in touch with Shelby, send pictures too them etc. to get the ball rolling. I've called the dealer three times and driven there once personally and they are blaming the hold up on Shelby. Is Shelby's interest in customer satisfaction this terrible or is the dealer giving me the stroke job? The downside is that the Ford dealer I bought the car from is over an hr. away from me so its not all that easy too drop in. What time frame is this usually all handled in? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This whole stripe and scoop issue is really taking away the enjoyment of the car.
I have an 07 Hertz Shelby and have been waiting about two months now. Thought it was all set in September, but then received a call from the dealer, saying that my car is a fake. They didn't know the difference between a Shelby GT500 and a Hertz Shelby. We've straightened them out on that, but are still waiting to hear something. If we don't get good news soon, we'll probably drive it to Las Vegas and have the stripe issue addressed there.
