I bought a set of American Racing Razors (I think that's what they are called) in 18s. Look good but on the GT500 necessitates the use of "spacers" on the back which doesn't look so good. Does anyone have any ideas who supplies pref 20s which don't require spacers and are compatible with the TPMS system?

    Thx/Chris

Go to Shelby Automobiles Inc website listed here & hit enter.

Scroll down for 20" x 9" Gunmetal Grey Rims. Powdercoated center. Machined lip. SHELBY embossed in one spoke. Shelby center cap included. 27 lbs. +24mm offset. 1600 lbs max capacity per wheel. Recommend using a 255/35zr20 tire. price is $259 each

I have 20" Shelby razors on my 07 GT500, as lonf as you use the +24 offset there is no spacers needed.

You will need to purchase the new bands for the 20" rims. I choose not to run the tire pressure monitoring on mine. I do not think they work that well. I do not have the idiot light come on with the new rims.

So how do you disconnect the idiot light and what do you mean by "bands"?

    Thanks

The tire pressure monitors are located on "bands" inside on your rim itself. You can remove the band and purchase a 20 inche band and place on your new rims if you want to. I did nothing to disarm the idiot light on the dash, it does not come on. I guess it has nothing to monitor so it does not come on. I have heard from others that do not have the tpms installed that a statement will appear when you first start the car that the tpms is not working, but I have not seen that with my car. If the statement appears you just hit reset and it goes off and stays off, until you start the car again.

Depending on your taste. I just purchased the new Foose Legend Nitrous 20 inch wheels for my 2007 shelby gt 500. They were just released this year. No spacers, and mine were ordered with tires mounting, balanced, and with new tpms sensors installed. Just go to cruisin concepts, you'll see them in the ad.
