68 G.T. 500, came w 2 build sheets info the same on both, One has the rotation # as 429, the other as 432 does anyone know what this means ?? -Thanks---S.
I belive the rotation # refers to where the car was at on the assembly line. Ford usually build cars in groups with like options. I don't understand why you have different rotation # on your build sheets. I have a 68 GT500 and I have not found my build sheet yet. I have the carpet all out but I really have not looked real good under the dash yet.
I don't think you are really going to figure anything out from a rotation number. I have a seen a group of 20 sheets that came out of GT350. They were consecutively numbered (rotation numbers) but each sheet was for a different car. I have also seen multiple sheets from the same vehicle that had different rotation numbers. Each car probably had at least half a dozen sheets, each with a different rotation sequence number. At best, it is an internal Ford tracking number. http://www.thecoralsnake.com/
I thought the sheet with the rotation # on it also had the VIN # on them. Am I right? I know the people on the assembly line would throw stuff in cars as they were going down the line, so it looks liks someone just tossed a bunch on sheets in a car to get rid of them.
71-73 Shelby Mustang Info Anyone know where specs/photos can be found of the European 71-73 Shelby Mustangs?
Build sheets do have VIN numbers, in the group of consecutively number sheets, the VINs were NOT in order, scheduled build dates also differed.
