There's an eBay ad for "Shelby GT40 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans Color Poster SIGNED" item number 370032950321.It has a Buy It Now feature for $179.95 I wrote the seller and asked him if all the signatures were the actual original autographs on the actual poster for sale.I did not tell him that I saw on his feedback the same poster with the same autographs in the exact same locations that had been won by another bidder in February. He wrote back immediately to tell me word for word that this is the only poster he has and that if I read his auction description that it states that these are hand signed original autographs on this poster. It will come with a certificate of authenticity should one buy this poster. I did a split screen for the poster won last month and this one that's for sale and all the signatures are in the exact same locations which I hought was fishy.Remember he also told me it's the only one he has. Just wanted to give anyone interested in this item a Heads Up.I am sure you'll come to the same conclusion as I did. Good Luck and Happy Hunting Kenn
Just a thought...did you confirm that the 'last' sale went through? There isn't feedback left for the first buyer nor any for the seller. Perhaps that 'last' sale fell through and he relisted the poster.
There is a Positive feedback from the buyer (jjnail) and I used the "view item" feature next to his posted feedback remarks.Item 370021185367 dated February 13th.The auction photo and ad descriptions are both the same.I emailed the buyer and asked him to write me back and I haven't heard from him yet.I did not find a feedback posted from the seller. I wrote to the seller and he stated that the autographs are hand writtened on the poster and not mechanically reprinted. He also told me that there is only one of these posters. Kenn
Received this email back from the seller: Dear racingdivision_inc, Hello, Thank you for the note! I have several of these posters signed by Shelby and Shelby team members. Some posters I have multiples of, others I only have one each of. I have sold these posters for years. None of them are exactly the same since each one is hand signed by the drivers. Best regards, Jim Demick F.A.S.T
I guess my next question would be to ask if he is using the same photo for each auction even if each poster is signed 'differently'.
Thanks Jim, This makes it real clear.Your other emails gave me the impression that you only had one poster with these autographs and yet I saw three different auctions for the same poster. Kenn
