17,890 miles on my 07 SGT. Experiencing severe inside tire wear on the fronts. Dealer states they cannot align the car and I need a camber kit to resolve the issue. Anyone else have this issue?
Yes, although my problem apparently is not as severe as yours. My 08 SGT had to have the two front tires replaced at about 18,000 miles. The alignment shop I took the car to was able to adjust my front end to the specifications called for by Ford. Good luck with your problem. Bob 4.6 SHLB & 57 AGIN
http://www.ingallseng.com/81260-14mm-fastcam-bolts_pair.html Follow the link I posted to Ingalls' website. You need a pair of fastcam bolts - one for each strut. They replace the upper strut mount bolt on each strut and allow for up to 2 degrees of camber adjustment. When the cars were lowered by Shelby American, it created negative camber, which causes your inner tires to wear. If you need to adjust for more than 2 degrees of camber, you will need another set of camber bolts for the bottom strut holes. The good news is, nobody that I know of, with the SGT, needed more than one fastcam bolt for each strut. The two bolts with shipping run about $33.
No problem Jim, good luck. Make sure if someone else installs the bolts, they don't drill out the hole where the bolt goes!
