Here is a list of suspension and Chassis Upgrades we have in progress for our 07 GT500.... Can any of you experienced diehards tell me if there is anything missing or not recommended on this list of what I have recieved...

    Eibach - Super Sport Springs
Eibach - Front and Rear Sway Bar's
    Ford Racing - Dampeners
Ford Racing - Strut Tower Brace
Steeda- Billet rear control arms w/ spherical Bearings
Steeda- Lower control arm relocating brackets
    Steeda- Adjsutable 3rd Link
    Steeda- Adjsutable Panhard
    Steeda- Panhard Brace
    Steeda- 3 Point Chassis Brace

After completion this project will be track tested so I am trying to get all of the stength and saftey I can incorperated into the chassis and suspension... So any advice or comments on the products will be greatly appretiated...

If you are looking for a track car why not go with a Griggs set up? I know it is pricy but you know it is an already track tested configuration... I am sure there are other race configurations as well where you wouldn't have to mix and match parts... So I guess instead of helping you (sorry) I am curious why you picked those parts for track testing?

Well the vehicle is being built or our SEMA booth.... but as well it is being built as a DIY project with a ton of media including 3 magazines doing step by steps of the entire project over 4 or 5 seperate issues... at the end both Car and Driver and Modified Mutangs are both planning on having a driver track test it as part of the end of the articles and reviews....

Those parts were picked as parts that any DIY can order and do with some ease and basic experience.... all of the vendors are sponsors except for Steeda which was picked by the vehicle's owner and the parts listed from Steeda were those recommended by Steeda as suitable additions...

On thing to remember....at the end of all of the testing, articles, shows etc... the car will still be a daily driver...

Congrats! Having a car in a mag is most every car guy's dream...

It sounds like your "parts list" is already set for you then, since most are sponsors... I don't know about the mix in parts though. Most aftermarket research and engineering parts would work better with the rest of the parts they were tested with. Either way I am curious to see the results in comparison to other tested track "packages"...

    Best wishes!

I'd suggest posting your list of stuff over on the GT500 portion of svtperformance.com and see what the guys say over there. There seem to be alot of people over there who are well on their way to finding good modifications for these cars. I'm not saying the folks here can't offer good feedback, I just think there are more there who can.

One thing I learned, years ago, chassis/suspension/or whatever upgrades, should always be considered a "work in progress". Modify, see what happens, and if you don't like something, try another combo.

Regarding springs on the S197 cars, there have been a number of folks who swapped springs only to find it lowered the car TOO much.

Good luck with building the show car.
