Hello all, I was hoping that you guys could help me. When I tore my car apart the manual choke was mounted on the right hand side of the steering column. I have seen pictures where it was mounted on the left hand side of the steering column. Can you please tell me the exact routing and mounting position of the manual choke? Since I had to totally dissasemble the car I can't even remember what hole it went thru on the firewall. Thanks for all the help.
I had a feeling it was suppose to be on the left. My car is a 66. Can you tell me where and how exactly it is mounted? Does it mount between the parking brake/air vent mounting location and the steering column? Or somewhere else? Do you know what type of fasteners it actually uses. Mine was held on by some cheap screws that I am sure are wrong since they were way too long. Thanks for the info.
Maybe this link will help answer your question better http://home.comcast.net/~65K09/kchecklist/kchecklist.html#MANUAL_CHOKE
Thanks for the link Steve. It really helped me a lot. I knew the great people on here would set me straight.
