Bob I haven't used it since the mid 70's .. If I keep it my kids will just throw it away with the rest of my junk when I croak ;) I am trying to clean out of this stuff I have had for 35 years .. Have way to many cars and projects . Just keep a few and sell the rest . Oh Shelby is staying but the Buick Grand National stuff is goin . Keeping 2 or 3 and selling off the rest .. Time to clean out and move south so I can race all winter then come back up here for the summer :)

Dan, I too have seen the aftermarket, general public sale things go from 75 to a couple hundred, but almost all of them were the later nylon/satin jackets. I, too, would love to have the jacket (rather than another leather POS my wife drags home for me from time to time). While I'd love to negotiate a price both of us would consider fair; well, at least fair to you and a bargain for me. You could also consider donating, or loaning it to the Shelby Museum in Boulder. I've never seen another jacket like yours. I'm sure few have. Even though they were "over-counter", people bought them and wore them... for years they wore them. The team jackets that have garnered $400, $600, $800 were worn for a season, maybe only two to only a few events. They have the aura of the "TEAM" and times gone by.

Tom ....are you saying I should keep it with my car ?? I have a few local Shelby guys here that are interested to. hmmmm I think I even have a pic of my car with that type of jacket on the front seat before I bought it . I look at this stuff (I have a lot of Ford Performance parts books also... I got them back in 67!!! Talk about a pack rat ;) ) and feel like its wasting away here . It is cool to look at the way things were back then . I have mixed feelings about all the old Shelby stuff I have .

Well 1 day to go on Ebay ...$500 on there .... My mind is startin to play games with my brain with what little is left . Really having second thoughts about selling . Then I think of it just sitting in a closet for 30 years .. Have 3 guys making "offer's" back an forth . I can still stop the auction on one hand but then I think about leaving it and seeing where it will go . What a weird feeling . Can't imagine what it would be like selling the car !!

    Hey guys,
I have a Jacket from the 60's or 70's that Craig Singhus (Motor
Week) gave my son, when we bought his car. Its a medium blue
color silk or satin. has the Black cobra on the back and the tag on
the collar says "Made for Carroll Shelby" was told he got it from an
Employee of Carrols. I never look at the jacket that hard until now
when I saw what these type of jackets bring...I will try and take a
few pictures of it for those that are interested in this type of thing.
    Cevon...

Ps, Couple of years ago my wife was cleaning up my sons room
and asked me if it should go to "Good Will"!! Im glade I was in the
same room!..hehehehehe....Some homeless person would have
been walking around DC. with a expensive jack on..

    Hey guys,
I have a Jacket from the 60's or 70's that Craig Singhus (Motor
Week) gave my son, when we bought his car. Its a medium blue
color silk or satin. has the Black cobra on the back and the tag on
the collar says "Made for Carroll Shelby" was told he got it from an
Employee of Carrols. I never look at the jacket that hard until now
when I saw what these type of jackets bring...I will try and take a
few pictures of it for those that are interested in this type of thing.
    Cevon...

Ps, Couple of years ago my wife was cleaning up my sons room
and asked me if it should go to "Good Will"!! Im glade I was in the
same room!..hehehehehe....Some homeless person would have
been walking around DC. with a expensive jack on..

auction on one hand but then I think about leaving it and seeing where it will go .

Well 1 day to go on Ebay ...$500 on there .... My mind is startin to play games with my brain with what little is left . Really having second thoughts about selling . Then I think of it just sitting in a closet for 30 years .. Have 3 guys making "offer's" back an forth . I can still stop the
auction on one hand but then I think about leaving it and seeing where it will go . What a weird feeling . Can't imagine what it would be like selling the car !!

    ok back to thinking

Dan, I too have seen the aftermarket, general public sale things go from 75 to a couple hundred
, but almost all of them were the later nylon/satin jackets. I, too, would love to have the jacket
(rather than another leather POS my wife drags home for me from time to time). While I'd love to
negotiate a price both of us would consider fair; well, at least fair to you and a bargain for me.
You could also consider donating, or loaning it to the Shelby Museum in Boulder. I've never seen
another jacket like yours. I'm sure few have. Even though they were "over-counter", people bought
them and wore them... for years they wore them. The team jackets that have garnered $400, $600, $
800 were worn for a season, maybe only two to only a few events. They have the aura of the "TEAM"
    and times gone by.
