It seems that almost all the 69 Shelby
GT500 and 69 CJ Mach 1's have the finned
    'Cobra Jet' value covers.

Did early production 69 "CJ" cars have
different covers ? Perhaps more of a
standard valve cover. Seems that I've
seen a few and wondered if they were
on cars built early in the run.

    Thanks, Bill

Yes chrome valve covers were standard on (roughly) first half 69 CJ's

  3. Early 69 Mustangs with CJ's had a chrome valve cover which was replaced
by the cast aluminum fined valve covers ( probably replaced in late Nov
or early Dec 68). Some even got the valve covers known as snake valve
covers for the design cast into them. All 69/70 Shelby's got the cast
    finned valve covers.Bob G.
