Convert. roof issues 2007 GT-H

Have you ever had any problems with your convert frame? My passenger side raises slower than driver side for the first 12 inches of raising. A vert roof specialist told me it's a common problem with mid 2000"s Mustangs. I'm told a bar is bending under the tension of raising and may kink soon. He recommends welding on a supporting metal piece to strengthen the frame part which are bending and may snap off soon. See .pdf doc I have attached of the issue as it was a recall a while back.
