    Not under an early Shelby. Got to love Ebay and the internet Didn't think Shelby played with the independent rear stff till a few years later

    Maybe someone else has a story

    Its use is mentioned in either the Shelby American Guide, or in the SAAC registry. Since the 65's were in B/P, and Corvettes were also, and the Vettes had IRS, the thought was to try it. The lap times were not significantly better.
    Also tried was mounting the 65 Hood scoop backwards, facing the cowl. Though times were faster by about .20ths a lap, they didn't think the public would have accepted it being backwards.
