Vintage Motorsport, current issue, has a big story on crashed cars and there are two horrible pictures--one of the Comstock GT40 hitting a telephone pole and exploding, the other of the burned out wreck. That made me wonder--I think racetrack promoters have stopped burying crashed cars by the track, but has anyone dug this one up? Has anyone showed up with a GT40 bearing that car's SN? If they have, it could be like the mess with SN 1040 also detailed here in the URL for Autoweek mentioned on this forum.
