Seen a picture in one of the Consumer Guide books on musclecars of a 260 Cobra, front 3/4 view, dark color, parked in Dearborn on the Ford test track (recognize the curvy brick fence designed by Thomas Jefferson!) with a windshield but no frame.
I wonder if anyone knows if this car was the first Cobra Ford ever got?
    What was the CSX?

Was this the car that Ford's engineers tested to make recommendations on the suspension? Supposedly Fred Goodell did a lot of testing on an early Cobra to make recommendations before the car was put into production.

For you who have the book, do you think the windshield is glass or plexiglass? It seems to be the regular shape but without the metal trim, not a curved racing windscreen. The car has manufacturer's plates so it definitely was in the hands of Ford. Shelby's manufacturer's plates were different besides, his were from California, not Michigan.
