Just wondering if anyone has heard anything regarding SGT production for 09 since ford shares are bouncing between 2.23 and 2.40 per share (I think a bargain), but I'm sure it still has the execs worried. Since the SGT is not a "buy at any price" car like the KR, do you think CS will be cranking them out, or will they start to fall the way of the SUV? Mambo
S-GTs left production in 2008;numerous are still on lots if you want one. I am hoping for a '10 or'11 GT 350; Steele
Guess I'm just out of the loop on that one. Can you point me in the direction of some good information about total production numbers for SGT's as well as future production of the 350? Thanks, Mambo
Mambo, something just under 6,000 SGTs for 2007 Black, the faster color , or White ~2,300 for 2008 Grabber Orange - California Special not many ~300 rest are Vista Blue -a few are still available on dealer lots Coupe or Vert none for 2009 nota about future cars Lg
There are also a limited number of Barrett-Jackson Black w/ Red stripe SGTs made exclusively for Arizona dealers.
Wow Ford's stock at $2 a share, how could that be? Maybe because people like me who have bought 3 new Fords in the last 12 years are not that happy with their car. I am driving my 2003 mach-1 north on the 405 in LA and the car dies. I got only one one finger slute as I coasted to a stop on the right side of the freeway. The car has only 5800 miles on it, but is out of warrenty. $600 dollars later I get a new fuel pump from Ford. I asked to tow truck driver what make of cars do you pick mostly ," Ah Chevys and Fords " Then I ask do you pick up very many Toyota s , " oh no" Also the fit and finish on the Mach-1 is TERRIBLE.For example, The right front fender to door fit is so bad. The assembly line worker did the best job possible by matching the top of the fender to the top of the door. The stamping of the fender is the fault . you can not line the bottom highlights after matching the top. This a common poblem with these cars. I would not touch Ford stock with a ten foot pole. Bruce PS I have a new Tocoma in my driveway.
Look it up, Toyota has had more recalls in the last 5 years than any car maker. I partially own a tow company in Ohio and we tow lots of Toyota's, especially their trucks with all the cam problems they have had in the last couple years. I do think that in the past fit and finish on Ford were not great but the 2005 up are much better. Perception is reality for most. Everyone thinks Toyota's are great so when it does break they tell them self it is an anomaly and when their Ford breaks they say I knew this piece of junk would break.
Really good point. It is very difficult to overcome preconceived notions. People believe what they want to.
