I also want to add to this article of what I have found about the 65 Shelbys. For some reason and, well presented by Colin's article, the older (politically correct - mature) Shelby crowd favors the 65 350 Shelbys more than any other Shelby Mustang. Im not saying this is applicable to everyone since my feelings are different, however, it is "most" often the case. One that I learned from talking to many different types of Shelby guys. Now, the younger crowds that I have seen (and probably can relate to better for me) make a connection to Eleanor far more than a 65 Shelby along with the words "big block" as they were often used in GM and Chrysler cars. Matter of fact, I get more attention in my 67 Shelby than my 65- 350. Its kind of funny in a way because people think my 65 Shelby is a clone until they look closer inside and see all the aging and storage smell.
