Good question about the Marchal Fog Lamp Covers. We have been collecting Lucas & Marchal Fog lamps & Literature for 20 years. There were apparently never any 68 Marchal Covers. A few people advertise a later style Marchal with over-size lenses and fitted "White" covers. These are incorrect for 1968. They are excellent for drivers or wanabe Shelbys. NEW QUESTION: How many low mileage or one owner cars actually had the LUCAS Fog Lamp Covers with the cars? We have heard the covers were to be included with the car. Maybe, stored in the glovebox ? Check old photos... They never have the Lucas Covers installed. Pete Geisler www.OrlandoMustang.com 407 688 1966
Re: Lucas Fog Light Covers CS was too cheap to include the fog light covers - I know many original owners and they NEVER got the covers - When they would ask they would be sent to the parts department (with wallet in hand) ----- Original Message ----- From: ORLMUST@aol.com To: cmclean@rbhnrc.usda.gov ; Shelbymustang@carmemories.com Sent: Wednesday, March 02, 2005 11:38 AM Subject: Fwd: Lucas Fog Light Covers Good question about the Marchal Fog Lamp Covers. I received a phone call several nights ago from a individual in Penn. who was trying to track his father's 1968 GT500 KR and had been told by someone at SAAC that I was the current owner. He had the Vin number which indeed matched mine and then we proceeded to have a nice conversation about the car. I asked him to ask his father about any original material he might have on the car and particularly if he still had the Lucas Fog lamp covers. He replied a few days later that his father told him that it did not come with any covers, but some dealerships did sell them as "extras." He also told me a rather strange story about the Lucas lights, that the individual who his father eventually sold the car to didn't like the Lucas lights and took them off to put on a set of 67 Shelby lights, which he liked better. I'm not sure why you'd want to but the Lucas lights where on it when I bought it six years ago Peter Simmel ><http://www.orlandomustang.com/> > >
