No offence here. I am thinking about building one someday also. One thing you will have to determine is how much do you want to spend. I also think you will have determine what you want the finished car to look like. Where are you located?

i will be sitting down tomorrow to figure out what it will cost. my problem is i bought a 65 c code and to restore it to original will only make the car worth mid teens or maybe a little higher. by making the clone and doing an accurte job the car could be worth mid 20's or higher. it comes down to where best to spend your money. i have done 6 mustangs in the past 8 year and have gotten good money for them so i think it is time to try something different. i am curretnly doing 71 tr6 overdrive car, 29 model A pickup and 65 gt fastback that is going to be a 2+ car when done.

i am located in Philly area. where might you be?

i was kind of looking for the differences between mustang and gt350 kind of document. i know the basics but am concerned with being authenic as posssible.
if you know of a good site let me now and i will gladly share the journey with you.

Try this link for starters and well as this forum I think you will find all you need. Here is a picture of some different looks. I personally like them with only the side strips. Thats how I will do mine if I ever get there.

    I`m building a 65 GT350R clone and i´m pretty much sure
to build one of the best ever. Thanks to all members here in this
great forum wich support me with detailed information and pictures.
I have a 66 c code Fastback wich was a condition 5 and now beeing
restored. Still long way to go should be finished next year.
Mine will cost about 40000 Dollars and not to mention that i made
alot of the parts at work where i have plenty of good people on
all kinds of machines even paint jobs  that support me
    for a dime.

I spent 25 years on the clone I own. When I began the project information was very hard to find. I have earned a PHD in 65 Shelby Mustang. If there is anything I can do to help anybody trying to do this I would be very glad to do it.
