    1) I'm finding out how many "wrong" parts have found their way onto my '66 GT-350. The rod from the clutch petal to Z-bar is from a '65. I still haven't figured out what the Z-bar came on, or if it's a one-off.

    2) What parts are you all finding on your supposedly 100% stock Shelby's that aren't "right".

    3) Anyone using a repro Hi-Po Z-bar that will coexist with the Tri-Y headers. I'm having no luck in that department.

It would help to know your car number, because, some 65's were left over, and converted to 66 specs. Hence, your possibly 65 clutch linkage.
    Tr-Y's, maybe it's the headers.
And, the car is 40 years old, owned by a whole lot of folks maybe trying to just get it running, and maybe substituting other parts.

it's 1117. Not low enough to be a true carry over car. First sold in El Paso, TX, it was there for nearly 25 years. That dry climate really helped preserve the metal. On the other hand, in it's early years it spent many weekend nights in Juarez Mexico drag racing down the main street. Serious street drags by our standards: it still had the tow bars welded to the frame when I bought it in '02.

My 67 GT500 also had towbar mounts welded to the front frame. They are still there. Also the front sway bar was cut and welded to go around something at one time. I have pictures of it in the 70's with the word COBRA on the side in the style of the 68 1/2 cobra jet drag cars.
