A new GT500 took part in this year's Cannonball One Lap of America, which ended on Saturday. I was fortunate to be part of a media team covering the entire event. We drove all 4000+ miles, visiting every track and event, and we have lots of photos and video on our site at http://www.lake-effect-racing.com/ . The GT500 did win it's class, GT2 big bore, but it finished 28th overall, behind cars like a Civic, some Neons, a Jeep, and an old Camaro. Maybe some more suspension work is in order? I assume they were not flogging it, though, so it may have more in it. Like all the new Mustangs, I do like the way it looks. Somewhere we have some great video of our camera man telling the driver, "Nice car." He pauses and responds, "It's my moms."
