Hi Every1, I am a born again Shelbyholic.I was first bitten in 1972 when my friend down our street bought a '65 small block Cobra. The venom to say the least was permanent. It wasn't until 3 years later that I was able to enjoy the full menu of Shelby hi performance thru my friend Jack Schroll at Mostly Mustangs in Oakland,CA.At his shop throughout the years I have been lucky to see almost every make and model of Shelby Sixties cars.My favorite cars have always been the drivers and vintage racers. We recently began a full restoration on our 66 Hertz model after 19 years hidden in our garage.I forgot how many little things are on that car.It even had the locking speedometer cable on it when we disassembled it. Having grown up in the Bay Area I have been so lucky to meet and see so many neat cars that Shelby made.I look forward to hearing from you. Kenn
Hi Kenn, welcome to the Site......it is the Best one you will find. A lot of great people here. What color is your Hertz? David.
Hi David, Originally it is a black n gold car.We are having it painted blue n gold as we like that color better and as a driver it will not get so hot when we are in it.We live in the Central Valley where it typically gets in the 100 degrees. what Shelby car(s) do u have or hope to get? Kenn
Hi MRP, I do not have any digital pictures but when I get some I will try and post them.I am not too confident with computers. signed, one finger KF/HERTZ aka SFM6S2009
At this time, I own a 2005 Tribute Edition Shelby G.T. 350 40th Anniversary Edition Prototype. It is Autographed by Carroll Shelby and he signed the Certification Certificate as well. It is Sonic Blue (in Avatar) The Lemans Stripes are actually 171 B&W Photos printed on High Performance Vinyl. I really want to own a 1969 G.T. 500 with a 4 Speed. I have to find a rich Wife first though......LOL. David.
David, I have not met anyone who has that model car.How do you like the way it drives? What are some of the the specs on it?Would a middle income woman with a 69 GT500 conv't be acceptable? cough cough
Hey David, I've never seen the stripes like that...can you post a pic or two of them. Sounds like a cool idea...was that original or did you have that made? Thanks, Tim
I was contracted with Carroll Shelby Licensing to build the Tribute Edition Shelbys using 1994 to 2005 Mustangs. The V6 Cars were G.T. 350's, the GT cars were G.T. 500's and the Cobra's were GT 500KR's. The Tribute Edition Shelby package was just an apperance Package and the owners were alloud to modify them any way they wanted. Many of them have been heavily modified. The Stripes on the one I am driving now took me about 2 months to get them the way I wanted.
Hi Mike, Beautiful women and Beautiful cars... the more they have to offer... the more I am in Love especially when they are fast and exhilarating Can you say Horse pow er
