I'm Daniel..nice too meet you guys. I have an 07 I bought in September second owner with 12000 miles on it. Black with silver stripes I was told by Ford Regional Headquarters they think it was a low production number of like 17 or so. I don't know if that's good or bad. I've driven it 1000 miles since and it runs great. But I baby it. It is completely stock. Anyway nice to meet you guys.
Welcome Daniel and congrats on your new beast. If you call ford performance at 1800 367 3788 ,,give them your VIN number and a credit card for $45.00 they will send you a nice certificate showing your build numbers and colors etc. Also for an extra $10.00 they will give you a window sticker if you like. www.mgwltd.com has some nice little touches for shelbys also. Especially that ugly plastic power cap on the dash. The rear cup holder has a false bottom,,,just an FYI. What part of the USA are you located?
Hey, thanks. I am from West Virginia but I had to drive 8 hours up to Indiana to get the car. And 8 hours back. The gentleman that owned it I was told had a construction business there and bought a lot of Fords. He won a lottery with his name to reserve a spot to purchase it if he wanted it. I was told he paid like $20,000 over sticker at the time. He kept it garaged and put 4000 miles a year for the past 3 years on it. He traded it in for a V6 automatic mustang for his wife to drive. Ford also gave me the extended service plan at no charge because the warranty was ready to expire. That was nice. I just missed out on a set of Super Snake Alcoa's on Ebay for $1500 never mounted the guy sold his Shelby and paid $750 each for them. Someone hit the buy it now before me they sold in 1 hour. My question is how did he get them? Here is the link to the ended auction. Thanks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Shel...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
Welcome, you came to the right place with the car that you bought.lots of knowledgeable people and great place to keep in touch with the hobby.
Yeah I've been trying that since last night. Ebay will not let me ask the seller any questions. I've checked numerous times and no way to contact the guy. I'm kicking myself those were real Super Snake wheels! edit: His phone number is on there I suppose I could call him. ha
Yeah but the reason I'm kicking myself is the ones on Ebay the guy was selling new for $1500 said "Super Snake" on them. And all the retail Alcoa's do not. The only difference being if you had sent your Shelby to Nevada or an authorized mod center to be Super Snaked. Which this guy apparently didn't. So I wonder how he got those? But nonetheless for all intense purposes is the same wheel.
