Well, its about time that I should finally introduce myself. I am a nineteen year old car guy from Northern California. I love all things FoMoCo - both classic and retro. I am a third generation Ford man. My grandfather worked at numerous Ford-Lincoln-Mercury dealerships throughout the 50's, 60's and early 70's and my dad grew up in Soutern California owning, working on and racing Mustangs Rancheros, Fairlanes, Comets and Cougars. I got into the car hobby working on 65-66 Ford Mustangs, but I was recently bitten by the Mercury bug, so I now own a 69 Cougar that I am building as an Eliminator recreation. To me so much of the fun of vintage FoMoCo cars (ESPECIALLY SHELBYS) is all of the history and nostalgia behind them. I am the kind of guy who wants an aluminum 4V intake for his 69 351W, but instead of turning to the Edelbrock catalog I spend countless hours searching for an original Ford Muscle Parts over the counter intake manifold. While I sometimes choose to spend the big bucks on a specific part, the rest of the time I am learning about parts interchange and cruising the junkyard for deals. I would rather see parts collecting dust on my shelf than go to scrap in the junkyard because I know that so many FoMoCo parts will only ever be around once.

While a Shelby and a Cougar are like apples and oranges I know that the restoration process and the basic mechanics of the two are very similar. I am very excited to be here on The Shelby Forums with all of you.

    Sincerely,
    Christopher Cullington
