I just installed a autographed airbag cover in my 2008 GT500KR last night. Went to start it today, no power at all to the ignition, dash, door locks, windows, won't crank. Just dead. I installed the airbag cover as I have read on the forum. The PDF I downloaded from one of the strings about switching airbag covers looked like it was from a Ford Techincal manual. In SRS depowering and repowering section, it said to disconnect a fuse in the "smart junction box" located in the RH lower kick panel. I opened the panel and found what looked like a fuse box, and above that was a what I later found a large multiple pin connector. I could not find any way to open the fuse box located there. In my curiosity, I disconnected and reconnecet the large multi-pin connector above it trying to find some way into the box. I finally gave up on that and as I have read in some other posts, just disconnected the ground from the battery and changed the airbag without incident. However when I reconnected the battery cable, there was a sort of "hoarse" sounding horn chirp. I went to start it the next day and no power to ignition. I have horn, lights, looks like the LCD on the nav. illuminates with Ford symbol, but no radio. ANYONE KNOW WHAT I DID TO MY KR? Any similar experiences out there?
