I have an aluminum T-10 that's been rebuilt for my '65. Everything is there but the small vent which sits on the top of the case next to the side cover. Although most cast iron T-10s I've seen have a "press-in" style vent my trans has provision for a "thread-in" style vent. Does anyone out there have a close up of this vent on their tranny and if so, willing to be kind enough to post it here in the forum? this would be great help to me as I need to either find the correct one or have one made. Thanks in advance.

Here are a few photos I have from a file.. Not the ones from my car. Hope this helps. I believe that these are press in models.

Yes - those are "press in" models, not "screw-in" like I need. I need to see what a "screw-in" style looks like.

Check with Jim Cowles at Sheby Parts and restoration. Google website . He has a lot of experience with the early cases. He has gone to the trouble of recasting the intire aluminum transmission. Your vent may have been modified to accept a hose like some of the competition cars. jim would know. I hope this helps. Bob
