Heya, I am new to Shelby forums, and just wanted to greet everyone.

My name is Raphke, am 19yo and live in The Netherlands. Been in love with Eleanor since 2000, when she for the first time appeared in the well known movie Gone In 60 Seconds. Since that day somewhere in 2000, I promised myself to work hard in order to have an Eleanor myself one day. So I hope that in the near future I am able to buy a '67- or '68 fastback in restoration condition, and rebuild her into my wildest dream.

Therefore I am stranded here, to learn, how to rebuild her. Now I already have seen some interesting things on customfastbackca.com, and am hungry to learn more.

    Best regards, Raphke.

Welcome to the Site......many cool people here. If you liked the 2000 version of "Gone In 60 Seconds" you should get a copy of the Original (1974).

    Hi Raphke,

Welcome aboard. It's always refreshing to see the Youngbloods get into the "need for speed"!
Another great movie to be inspired from is the 1968 movie called "Bullitt".This movie takes place in San Francisco and the car chase is my all time favorite. It's about ten minutes long.
It has the great '68 Dodge Charger with the 440 motor and the modified '68 Fastback Mustang with the 390 motor driving thru the streets of San Francisco. All those years I lived there I never could quite get around like they did!
This movies chase scene is definitely in the All time best and one tends to forget about the camera car.Does anyone out there remember what the camera car was?
    Great place for references.

    Kenn
