My name is Bill and I recently purchased a new 2007 Shelby GT straight off the showroom floor. It had 29 miles when I purchased it and had chains around it on the floor. The owner of the company purchased it for himself and decided to sell the business and when I saw this Shelby they had to call the owner to see if he would be willing to sell it. I don't care alot for the grill it looks too empty to me. I have thought about something with the fog lights back in it but, don't want to mess up the orginial too much. Anyone got any pointers? Thanks Bill
Welcome Bill. I say do what you want with it, but keep the original parts in a box. Good luck with your car. Mike
Welcome Bill! I agree with Mike, any permanent changes could affect selling cost, but in the long run it's up to you!
Since you want foglights in the grille, I would do the Pony package grille. I like it a lot better than the standard GT grille. If it is just foglights you want, Shelby Performance Parts sells a foglight package. It mounts below the bumper along each side of the lower grille opening. robin
Thanks for all your imput. I guess I misquoted myself. I like the grill that I have but I think the lower part is too empty. I was thinking more on the lines of the lower grill matching the upper grill with driving lights. I might consider the Pony Grill except I don't know what they look like. I would definitely like to stay with Shelby parts. What do you think? Do you say that either one of these would interfere with the orginality of the car too much?
Shelby Performance Parts also makes a lower grille insert to match the upper grill. Then add the fog lights from their catalog too and you will keep it all Shelby. That should also get you the look you are after. robin
