As I am slowly completing the reassembly of my 66 GT350 I was tempted to reset the odometer back to "Zero" Besides breaking a federal law, I thought as beat up as this car was and as much fun as I had putting the miles on it, so I'd leave it at the 16,578 , the actual mileage is 216,578. So that began the thought process of how many miles are on your car? Mine had 40,000+ on it when I bought it in 1971 and until I took it off the road in the early 90's when the driver’s floor fell out for the 2nd time. For most of the 70's and early 80's it was a daily driver, just a great car to beat around in. I ran into an old friend a few months back and she told me that I letting her drive it down Skyline Drive in Virginia when she only had her learners permit was one of the most scary and exciting things she had done. Beater, trailer queen or concurs perfect they all are great, hard riding, loud and just a blast. So let’s see how many of you have driven further, I am hoping a lot of you will put me to shame, looking for that first "Million Mile Shelby"

My Dad bought a 69 Mach 1 in 1975, I remember going for a ride on the lady's lap for a test drive (oh the good old days!, I was 5).
He put 334,000 on that little 351W (2 timing chains) before he pulled to down for a reubild, I think its up to 386,000 miles now, I'll have to ask him!
My borther's 69 lux. coupe has probably 300,000 or more on it! I'm going to have to check the spedo's on those and see where they're at!
