Re: GT 500 E Convertible Quote from auction: "in the Shelby Registry"...I just took the last 2 versions of mine out. NOPE, can't seem to find any reference to 500 "E"'s I have heard that the next Registry will be released as "Volumes", Cobras and the like first, etc... This first volume of the new Registry is not even in print yet... Therefore, it can be deduced that this new "bastard child" is not yet even a twinkle in the eye of The Registrar's Until it is, it is IS NOT in the Registry. A plea to Mr. Kopec: When (If) you do put this cultural anomaly in the new registry, Please put this car in the context that created it. It is not a legitimate 60's era Shelby automobile, PERIOD. How on earth does this car command this attention? Is this the Video game / Hollywood movie mentality of the next generation pushing us "old timers" aside? (I will be 44 soon...) I would plant this car UNDER my tulip bulbs. My two cents. Mike
All-Here's another way to look at this: The "individual", whoever it may be, could have easily purchased two (2) Ford GT's for the price they paid to buy a recycled Mustang with some restomod hardware. If you can find out their identity, I have some Krispy Kreme stock I'm willing to let go at $40/share Regards, Stan ----- Original Message ----- From: APPTELINC@aol.com To: shelbymustang@carmemories.com Sent: Saturday, April 02, 2005 6:23 PM Subject: I'd take two of SB's cars first !!!
