Florida Shelby & Ford Fans, I would like to toss around some ideas for an annual event for Shelbys owners & fans. We wanted to promote the SAAC club here in Florida and try to get together with some of the other area Mustang & Shelby guys. Please consider what you would like to see happen: Lets try to think of an event that would build each year. Here's the starting list: November, Daytona Join up with the Historic Races @ Daytona Track. Use the sucessful event to bring our Shelbys & Ford powered cars out to watch the racing. Maybe a Poker Run first, ending up at the track. When ? Sebring SCCA has several events, we could tie into and enjoy the competition of many auto makes or " run your ride ". Local hotels are cheap and have great golf packages. Make sure to include something for the wife & kids. Florida Hill Climb Challenge Spring or Fall Pick an interesting area of Florida and do a Ralley. Consider driving and meeting at St Augustine, Mount Dora, Don Garlits. This format could change each year , like a "Pony Drive". Bring on your comments & ideas. I will provide some of the $$ and a little of the leg work.
