Hi there, I was wondering if anyone had any information on an ex Shelby American employee by the name of F.L. Martin (sp?). I have his signature on a check to Ken Miles. Both he and Al Dowd signed the check and was wondering his role.

    Regards,

I know Carroll Shelby makes reference to Frank Martin in his book 'The Cobra Story'. Frank worked on the business end of things at SA in the office.

I have his signature with stamped name and title on the manufactures statement of origin for my 66GT350H. His title is listed as "Finance Manager". I can't tell if it is F.E. Martin or F. L. Martin from this document.

    thx

Try contact Bob Shaw at the www.legendconnection.org web site which supports the former Shelby American employees via the Donkey Fund.B)

The fund to assist former SAI employees was started by Bob Shaw and Bernie Kretszchmar. Check their www.legendsconnection.org web page for more info. Great operation and the reason we have been lucky to meet and talk with the former employees at the past few SAAC Conventions, SAAC Does Vegas and other gatherings.
