thinking of installing a laser jammer, so just wondering where the receiver and emitter would sit (the front unit) and at the rear. Do you mount the front ones behind the grille and would it work okay if it's behind there? Would it fit behind the grille? Where would the rear one go? (this is for a 2011 Shelby GT500) thanks!
Don't waste your money, they don't work. HOWEVER... As a young engineer, studying materials, I came across a government research project that uses a wax on their missiles. This wax prevents laser tracking systems from getting a good bead on the the missile. I don't know if the wax, which would contain a certain polymer, was ever put into use. In theory it should work. Some clear polymers can change the frequency of the laser--I've seen it done in the lab. I wrote a paper on it for my materials class. If you should come across such a thing, I don't advocate actually using it--it's most likely illegal in all 50 states.
Hey Bud What Laser jammer did you but? I am considering the Blinder M47 for my 2010 Shelby. I was wondering the exact same thing about how and where to mount the heads. I was thinking 2 low on the lower rad opening and one high in the middle of the upper. Then putting a single on the back right on the license plate bracket. I don't think they will work behind the grill. The CPU must go inside the cockpit to keep dry.
