Hello, I am a new guy here, my name is ED. Is shelbyforums.com a official SAAC website? Can anyone please tell me if it is true that the new 2008 Shelby American Automobile Club (SAAC) Shelby registry will be made available for purchase in late 2008? Thank you. ED
The Cobra/Ford GT registry is supposed to be at the printer now. The Shelby Mustang Registry is in the "on deck" circle. This means is you have additional or new information about your car, SEND IT IN NOW! And a reminder: I suggest that if you SELL your Shelby, you also inform the registrar. Don't leave it for the new owner to do this very important thing.
That's funny? I was told by a long time SAAC member that lives in Conn. which happens to be a very good friend of Richard Kopec that the new SAAC shelby cobra registry is due out in late 2008? Along with the new 2008 Shelby Mustang Registry? Roddster, where did you get your information from? And how do we know which story is true? Thank you. ED
Hi to all on this subject,The cost was set first for the leather cover edition which is a limited edition of 250,each one is numbered and they were sold by reservation only. The club also said that after the cobra edition, the shelby edition would then get underway. This is a big project, and will feature more cars than ever,so be patient and helpful by sending in any information you have, and a word to the wise--buy it at the prepublished price..it saves you money, and gives them a idea of how many to print.Join the club and stay up to date!
Maybe it's supposed to be at the printer, but it isn't, and it won't be going there til 9/07. At least that is the cut-off date for Cobra information. The book is expected to be available at the end of the year, allowing several months for printing, binding, packaging, etc.
I am a long time SAAC member, so, what I know, I read in the "Snakebite Bulletin". So if you have some other source, put it out. Things get delayed with such an undertaking. I do not wish to read all the "gee, I was gonna send the info" in posts AFTER SAAC sends it to the printer. And as the other poster stated, send in your payment as soon as they accept the money because often enough, the final price is higher.
Hi again folks! looking on the SAAC website, the dollar figure @ pre publication price is $175 plus $10 for shipping within the usa.It also says work on the next volume begins when this one is finished..so as Roddster mentions if you have info send it in to the appropriate registrar ASAP.the price of a stamp is cheap, and it helps piece together the puzzle that these cars are a part of.Think of it as a big deal because it is important, and as my dad says " If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem." Thanks for your help!!!
