Just wanted to pop in and say hello. Ive been a long time fan of Shelbys, grew up with a step father that had a orange '69 GT500 convertible with the white leather interior and later a '68 GT500 fastback in dark green with the white LeMans stripes (helped build the 428scj in that one ^_^ ) unfortunately both of those cars are long gone now  but I still have the memories and perhaps one day (maybe after winning the lottery?) I will own one of my own.

To get started im thinking of doing a '67 or '68 convertible restomod to look like a GT350 convertible (but without the stripes or vin tags) using the 5.8L / 351 engine from a 1995 Mustang Cobra R, Tremec TKO transmission, 9" rear-end, Unique Performance GT-40 wheels, total control suspension kits, and then complete it with emblems from latemodel cobra mustangs.

Paint color i havent decided on...maybe BMW alpine silver although I'm very partial to the dark green (british racing green?)

    Any thoughts / comments etc?
