First off I would like to thank RShelby for all the great information & photos he has put on this website! I know from taking pictures myself it takes time & money to do it & for that I say THANK YOU.

2nd... I thought I would say hello to all the current members & to say I'm a Ford Loyalist...aways have been & always will! I own a 1987 Mustang GT that I bought brand new & currently have 230,000 + miles on it before I put it away to start restoring some time here in the near future. I currently drive a 1998 Ford Expedition (that I ordered new with every option I could) & it has 191,000 reliable miles on it. As you can see I like to get a new vehicle about every 9 to 10 years. So now the time has come to get something else new & the new 2007 Mustang Shelby GT 500 fits the bill. Unlike the rest, this car will not see alot of miles on it & it will be named Ellanor for all the power she will have 450+ H.P.

Thanks again for all the great info & keep it coming. Have a great day! :)

welcome fellow high milage ford enthusiast! I have a 65 fastback with 230,000 that still gets out on the track as much as $ lets me. Anyone else have some high milers that aren't afraid to burn some rubber every now and then. Ranger Jerry

I have never owned a Ford - yet, but I have had plenty of high mileage cars. My '89 Shelby CSX will hit 180,000 miles today and is still a blast to drive as it was intended. I have had plenty of Buicks and Chevrolets that have been driven well past 150,000 miles.
