    Welcome!

There used to be a guy (Was a Gum Doc) with a 69 <?> Shelby who had a sticker on the back that read "Fastest gums in the west" or something to that effect, have not seen that car in years.

Sorry to hear that. Is that picture of your unfinished car? I love the color combo. My GT500 is vista blue with white stripe. Make sure we get some photos of the restore!

That's a pic of the car and the previous owner just after he rolled up the garage door - my first glimpse of it after trying to pursuade him to sell it to me for nearly 3 years. It had not been driven for 28 years, and he had bubble wrap over the top of it that he just pulled back for that pic. All of the Shelby stuff was on the car, just the fuel pump, Rad and wheels were changed over the years prior to that <Still looking for 15" x 5.5" or 6" KH steel rims if anyone is reading this!> Found correct dated unrestored rad and a 3939s recently. (thanks to those on the list who helped!)
The car was about 2 or so hours north of you, in Fond Du Lac WI.
Car is now apart, every single part will be cleaned / painted / plated or what ever it needs to be as it was when if left Venice CA. It is an original factory stripe car <most did not have them> with the Cobra wood wheel and the battery in the trunk. After a concours resto I intend to do what they were meant for - drive it!

You sure will have a nice ride when you're done. Would be nice to see the photos when done. Paul

I imagine that bubble wrap would destroy the paint pretty quickly with all the hot/cold cycles and plastic residue from the wrap. Cool car and cool find!

Yeah - paint is toast, but car was almost completely intact.
Would be nice to find an original paint survivor, and I am allways looking!
