Historian W.A. Wyss is scheduled for a book signing of his new picture book, Cobra and Shelby Mustang Photo Archive, at Autobooks Sept. 15th between 10 am and 2 pm. The book has an introduction by none other than Lynn Park, California's most prolific Cobra collector who counts over ten of the originals in his collection. The softbound book is horizontal, and another in the Iconografix Photo Archive series. "Similar to the Pantera book I did for Iconografix, this book has a lot of color, and you'll find some modern day pictures I shot among the 'original era' shots," says the author, who often writes his books at his secluded spread, Cobra Ranch, in Mendocino, way up on California's North coast. Previously he authored Shelby's Wildlife: the Cobras and the Mustangs (out of print) , The Super Fords (out of print), DeTomaso: the Man and the Machines, and several books on other marques. Also being signed is Ford GT40 and the New Ford GT published by Wyss, and fellow co-authors Al Axelrod and Brian Winer. For those Ford fans who are art buffs, Wyss says he will try to have a Carmel gallery displaying his paintings of fast Fords loan him some for the signing.
