hello i'm new here from rural ohio. have never owned a shelby (except a omni ghls) but i've driven a new gt 500 at a ford dealer that my dad is a service manager at. although i've owned many high powered fords and mercurys currently i . looking forward to talk to some folks in shelby land and learn some more and even maybe hear some good stories, or get a lead on a shelby car of some sort. pete

Do you still have the GLHS? Hard to beat the fun for the dollar in those Shelbys.

no i don't have it any more. i have my used car dealers liscence and bought it at the dealer auction a couple years ago for 350 ( nobody new what it was) it needed door handles a clutch brakes and a heater core. it had been pretty beat on, but boy was it fun. i wish i would have kept it just to (have a shelby in the garage)LOL i scrapped a few shelby chargers too a few years back they didn't have turbo's on them or someone took them off and they were in terrible condition though. pete

Yes I did, it's got a complete flowmaster system from the headers back in 2 1/2. It sounds pretty good. I've had it out to a few events this year.
It is pretty cool to run onto another BS member here.

I used to own 1967 Shelby GT500 number 899. I had to sell it a few years ago when I got divorced and I really miss it. I also owned a 69 GT500 back in the 70's.
On another note, I just got off the phone with Mark Houlahan, the editor for Modified Mustangs and Fords magazine. My 68 fastback is going to be featured in the January issue and on the news stands the first week of Dec. It was chosen as editors choice at the NMRA/ Ford Expo show in Columbus this year. He was telling me that they are changing the format of the magazine and will be focusing entirely on vintage cars starting with the January issue. I'm pretty pumped about it. Check it out when it comes out.

    Thanks.
The photo shoot was already done at national trail raceway early this month. I don't know how far you are away from me but you're more than welcome to come over any time. I'm in the southeast part of the state.
