    Hello all,
I am finishing the resto on my 67 GT500 (#3081). My question is which oil pressure sender is correct, the large or small. I have the large one.
(The harnass is for the post type not the slide on type.)
Is it supposed to thread directly into the top of the oil filter housing? I have an extension but have been told that this is only for small block???

Also I have a Ford replacement water temp sender but the terminal end of the wiring harnass does not fit onto it's post (the post is too large).
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Carl (getting close now) Schneider

The 67 GT500 and the GT350 both use a mechanical gauge so there is no "sender". The SW oil pressure gauge came with a installation kit that included the special one piece adapter (plated zinc silver),plastic line (some with markings on the plastic and some without), compression ferrules and caps. The GT500 had the one piece SW adapter threaded into the top of the oil filter adapter. The GT350 had the adapter threaded into the oil sender extension coming out of the 289 block. Some people that don't have the correct one piece adapter substitute the universal brass adapters screwed into the adapter route. The universal adapter would not be correct for concours competition. There are engineering drawings showing how the plastic line was secured in the wiring loom and were zip tie straps were employed and the line routed under the master cyl before going through the firewall . Many Larger Mustang vendors sell the book with the reprints of the 67 Shelby engineering drawings . With out knowing if you have the correct gauge feed harness I don't know if your temp sender is wrong or the harness . I suspect your sender is the culprit. I hope this helps.

I just remembered that Mansfield Mustang sells the correct SW installation kit. If he is out PM me I still have a few. Bob
