I understand the original SW oil pressure gauge on the '68 Shelby was an electrical unit, hooked to a sending unit on the engine. Where was the sending unit on the engine? The fitting abouve the oil filter? I have a direct oil line tube from that fitting to the back of my gauge, which is wrong I guess. Thanks for any info.

Whoops. The Stewart Warner electric sender is a short can shaped sender with a rubber boot covering on it . Coralsnake can set you up with the appropriate electrical harness for your sender. The gauge is another issue because the mechanical gauge is just that and you will have to get a electrical gauge to match the sender . The originals are available frequently on ebay and sell for around 350.00-450.00 used. Bob

OK, thanks. But do you know where that short can shaped sender with a rubber boot over it is located on the engine?

There is a small fitting and both screw into the top of the oil filter adapter.
