I change mine every October , 100 miles, or 900 miles. I saw or read a report on diff. oils, & Wallmarts Super Tech is equal to, or a little better than some of the major brands. The filter I use is either Motorcraft or Fl-A or something like that, [ can't remember ]. I use the car mainly in the summer months, so 10-40 is what I prefer.---S.

I use Castrol 20w50. I have been told by several mechanics that the heavier oil is better for the older motors. I change it twice a year which is about 500 to 700 miles between oil changes.

In using a heavier oil when you first start it up, does the oil flow to all the areas as fast as it should if you were using a lighter grade like 5-30 or 10-30 etc. When I start mine, I turn the starter 3-4 times before starting the car only to prevent ' dry start wear conditions ' so to speak.---S.
