Hi guys Me again and another question. Does anybody know why there are problems in delivering or manufacturing the Shelby R Model gauges??? Build by Stewart Warner. 1,5 years ago i wanted to buy them but thought other things are more importand for my project so i waited. Back then price was 950$ for a complete cluster (do you call it so??) 3 month ago i called Tom from Delta Bay Mustang he said he has one for 1050$ but i already ordered alot and was broke again so i waited and thought next time Jerry. Yesterday i called Cobranda and Tom both said delivery problems and price will now be at 1200$ thats what Tom said!!!! What the hell is going on there? Without these gauges the car will look stupid. Bye Jerry
Well Jerry, Welcome to the big leagues! Thats just the way it is. If you want to play, you gotta' Pay. Many reasons why the prices keep going up. More for raw materials that the manufacturer needs to make parts; licenseing requirements from Shelby and Ford, and other related costs of doing business for the vendors. And heres another reason why: With so many "clones" being made, the parts supply is dwindling. Its just a matter of economics. Low supply equates to higher prices. Not only for the cloner, but those with real cars. I am aware of Delta Bay Mustang, but who is Cobranda? If you are referring to Tony Branda; in his catalogue N, page 7, PN RGS1 is the entire gage package, panel and lights listed for $979.95. But since he had to sign his life away recently to keep selling Shelby parts, the prices have probably gone up. Buy at todays price as tomorrows price will probably even higher. shlby66
Hi shlby66 I meant Tony Branda they had missing parts. And weren´t able to sell me the splash bucket and the gas cap with the screws and gaskets. I couldn´t belive my ears. They don´t sell the screws and gaskets for this. Thats why i called Tom and he just said that tomorrow he will have some informations for me. Hope good news! Bye Jerry
Well, If Branda is selling the R-Model gage cluster, complete for $1050.00' thats less than a 7% mark up on price. Not too bad. Those licenseing agreements vendors have to sign are tough; a large monetary deposit upfront, regulations what they can and cannot sell, and explicit directions as to how they have to advertise. Not exactly easy. So again, todays prices are probably going to less expensive than the prices tomorrow. shlby66
Hi shlby66 Yesterday i called Cobraautomotive.com and they said he is waiting on them since june. But he also told me that he´s been in this place for 5 years and i´m the second guy asking for these. Told him he should call Carroll himself, tell him that Jerry from germany is waiting for them he should hurry up! I would even send Carroll a case of good bavarian beer if it´s necessary. ha ha ha They all have the gauges with SW on them for 200$ less but i guess i´ll wait and hope i get the CS ones Bye Jerry
