only $230 ? that is a deal compared to my 57 Bird "Group 32 Ford Power Punch" repro sealed battery from Antique was $250 plus shipping....but it looks great and works and does not leak, the price ya have to pay for lack of competition and low volume. As stated before New Castle(drycell manufacturer) is now defunct and the purchasing company doesn't know if they will produce anymore. 2 vendors listed above said they couldn't get the batteries but Antique Batteries said for a whopping $230 plus shipping that they would order the battery.Hope this helps.Olaf ----- Original Message ----- From: GT350HZ@aol.com To: ronald.robertson@sympatico.ca ; shelbymustang@carmemories.com Sent: Wednesday, July 13, 2005 10:19 PM Subject: Re: Autolite battery They have a sealed version of the group 24 Battery. I guess if you have to have it price is no object but my real problem with them was ; they didn't have any in stock and guessed at a 3 week backorder. They wouldn't say if it was a New Castle battery or not.
