I'm using one of the old 24F Autolite dry charge batteries in my 66 and it's still going strong after 5 years. Here's what I do: - Always disconnect the neg. cable when it's parked in the garage. - Charge it every 60 days or so. - Keep the electrolyte level 1/4" above the plate per the instructions. They really do last quite a while if you take care of 'em.
