  1. Even if there is only a little loss in value at this moment, at some point
    the value will spread between original and color change cars, also matching
    numbers is very rare to be reversed.
    I have heard of only a few cases where the original engines were reunited
    with their cars.
    Without question the cars with the highest premium include original engines
    and paint. The amount of premium is not reflected in price guides.
    There is nothing wrong with cars that do not have original equipment. But
    if you are collecting or looking at appreciation, exceptional originality will
    command a premium in the long run. It works that way in all collectibles.
